About Us

 

AGA serves government accountability professionals by providing quality education, fostering professional development and certification, and supporting standards and research to advance government accountability.

 

Another exciting year for the Central Ohio AGA is underway.   Our Chapter Executive Committee (CEC) is hard at work planning for the upcoming months.  Central Ohio AGA is lucky to have such dedicated volunteers who continue to improve our program year after year. 

 

Please remember we are always looking for new faces and ideas - consider volunteering throughout the year by participating in a sub-committee or accepting a future CEC role.  This is your opportunity to have a voice in our educational and program events as well as promote the accounting profession.  Feel free to contact a CEC member to express your interest in volunteering during the upcoming year.

2013-14 Scholarships

Each year, Central Ohio AGA awards one or more scholarships to active members, family members of an active member, or other selected candidates who are currently enrolled in full or parttime study. The award amount is up to $2,000.The scholarship application period recently ended, and we will be making award announcements soon. Please check back! 

 

Annual Report to Our Members

Our next education event will be held on Wednesday, May 21st.  Central Ohio AGA will be presenting Ethics Training for 4 hours of CPE. Part I of the training will be "Ohio Ethics Law: Can I Do That?" and Part II will be a national AGA webinar titled "Figuring Out the Right Thing to Do and Then Having What it Takes to Do it!" The event will be held at the main branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library in downtown Columbus.  Please CLICK HERE for additional details and registration instructions. 

 

 

Time to tee it up!

It is that time of year again to sign up for the Central Ohio AGA 2014 Golf Outing. We are hoping to make this outing the best one yet. The outing will be held at Westchester Golf Course on Friday, May 16. Westchester Golf Course is located in Canal Winchester and offers a challenging layout as one of Central Ohio’s most beautiful courses. The outing will once again be a four person scramble format. The registration fee will be $35 for AGA members and $50 for non-members. The registration fee will include green fees, cart, lunch, a great gift to participants, and prizes also to each participant.

 

The golf outing will begin at 8:30 a.m., with range balls being available at 7:45 a.m. Following the round of golf, we will wrap up the outing with prizes and an awards ceremony around 2:00 p.m.

 

Invite co-workers, family, friends and clients for a fun relaxing day of networking and golf. This is one of the first outings of the year to fine tune your game or just get out of the office to enjoy the spring weather. If you do not have a complete foursome, please sign up and we will do our best to pair you up with others.
