AGA serves government accountability professionals by providing quality education, fostering professional development and certification, and supporting standards and research to advance government accountability.

 

Another exciting year for the Central Ohio AGA is underway.   Our Chapter Executive Committee (CEC) is hard at work planning for the upcoming months.  Central Ohio AGA is lucky to have such dedicated volunteers who continue to improve our program year after year. 

 

Please remember we are always looking for new faces and ideas - consider volunteering throughout the year by participating in a sub-committee or accepting a future CEC role.  This is your opportunity to have a voice in our educational and program events as well as promote the accounting profession.  Feel free to contact a CEC member to express your interest in volunteering during the upcoming year.

Each year, Central Ohio AGA awards one or more scholarships to active members, family members of an active member, or other selected candidates who are currently enrolled in full or parttime study.

Columbus Clippers Social Event!

Central Ohio AGA would like to invite its members and a guest to a Columbus Clippers Event at Huntington Ballpark, located at Nationwide Blvd. and Neil Ave. in Columbus, on Thursday, July 11, 2013. We have secured 40 tickets in rows 1 and 2 of section 23. The game will start at 7:05 p.m., but we will host a networking happy hour, which will include appetizers, pizzas, and drinks. The happy hour will start at 5:00 p.m. and run until approximately 6:45 p.m. at a location to be announced. So, please stop in after work to enjoy food and beverages with your fellow Central Ohio AGA members, even if you do not plan to attend the game. To RSVP or if you have any questions, please send an email to Bryan Cottrill. Please RSVP by July 5th, so we have an accurate number for accommodations. We hope to see many of you there on Thursday, July 11th!

 

 

Save the Date!

Central Ohio AGA's 29th Annual Regional Professional Development Conference is approaching! The annual favorite is slated for October 9 and 10, 2013 and will once again take place at the Boat House Restaurant at Confluence Park, just outside downtown Columbus.
