AGA serves government accountability professionals by providing quality education, fostering professional development and certification, and supporting standards and research to advance government accountability.
Another exciting year for the Central Ohio AGA is underway. Our Chapter Executive Committee (CEC) is hard at work planning for the upcoming months. Central Ohio AGA is lucky to have such dedicated volunteers who continue to improve our program year after year.
Please remember we are always looking for new faces and ideas - consider volunteering throughout the year by participating in a sub-committee or accepting a future CEC role. This is your opportunity to have a voice in our educational and program events as well as promote the accounting profession. Feel free to contact a CEC member to express your interest in volunteering during the upcoming year.

Central Ohio AGA is Ohio’s premier association in advancing government accountability. 2014 Professional Development Training
Registration is now open! Central Ohio AGA's 30th Annual Regional Professional Development Training (PDT) will take place on October 14 and 15, 2014 at the Quest Conference Center, in the Polaris District at the north end of Columbus. Central Ohio AGA and the Greater Columbus AGA would like to invite all members and any guests to a Buckeye Tailgate on Saturday, October 18th for the OSU game versus Rutgers. The tailgate will begin at 11 a.m, and the Buckeye game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. Viewing will be available at the tailgate, so please bring a chair and join us if you do not have tickets. We will provide lunch items (suggestions are welcome, as the bus has a grill) along with beverages, such as water and pop. Members and their guests of legal age may bring alternative beverages to consume at their leisure. We will have cooler space available if needed.
The tailgate will take place in the RV Ackerman/315 lots (Corner of Ackerman and Fred Taylor Dr., by the Track Stadium) in spot #140 Buckeye Lot 2. The spots are labeled in the lot. There is parking available in the non-RV part of the Ackerman/315 lot for $15. The first 15 members to RSVP for the event will have their parking paid for by Central Ohio AGA. Parking is first come-first serve so please arrive early to secure a spot. Please RSVP by sending an email to Bryan Cottrill with your number of guests (no limit on guests). Community Service Event
Central Ohio AGA will be volunteering at the Mid Ohio Food Bank helping with food sorting and packing. AGA will be providing a networking lunch at a local restaurant after the event.
When: November 8, 2014, from 9:00-noon
Where: 3960 Brookham Drive, Grove City, Ohio, 43123
All volunteers will go through a short training video at the event. We will be inspecting, cleaning/sanitizing, sorting donated items from grocery stores. Volunteers will be on their feet and lifting boxes between 10-20 pounds will be involved.
NOTE: Advanced registration is required by October 17, 2014.
