About Us

 

AGA serves government accountability professionals by providing quality education, fostering professional development and certification, and supporting standards and research to advance government accountability.

 

Another exciting year for the Central Ohio AGA is underway.   Our Chapter Executive Committee (CEC) is hard at work planning for the upcoming months.  Central Ohio AGA is lucky to have such dedicated volunteers who continue to improve our program year after year. 

 

Please remember we are always looking for new faces and ideas - consider volunteering throughout the year by participating in a sub-committee or accepting a future CEC role.  This is your opportunity to have a voice in our educational and program events as well as promote the accounting profession.  Feel free to contact a CEC member to express your interest in volunteering during the upcoming year.

COAGA Scholarships

Each year, Central Ohio AGA awards one or more scholarships to active members, family members of an active member, or other selected candidates who are currently enrolled in full or part‐time study.  Our 2011 scholarship award winners were recently announced.  Please CLICK HERE to see our winners.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Upcoming Events 

 

Community Service

Once the weather warms, Central Ohio AGA will be assisting with landscaping (raking leaves, mowing, and trimming) at the Unverferth House.  The house serves as a temporary residence for OSU Medical Center patients and families who live outside of Franklin County.  The event will take place sometime in April or May.  Please stay tuned for further details.

 

On May 19, 2012, Central Ohio AGA will be participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.  Seventy-five percent of the money raised will be used locally for education, screening and testing for the Central Ohio service area.  The remaining twenty-five percent will be used to fund national research in the quest to end breast cancer.  Central Ohio AGA will sponsor the first 30 members who register.   Please contact Caren Murdock for more information.
